Gail Wilson is a multidisciplined artist and teacher. Smples of her quilts, pillows, dolls and painted gourds are on display in the windows of The Greenburgh Art Annex at 228 E. Hartsdale Avenue (across from the Hartsdale train station). The exhibit is visible from dawn to dusk.
Gail Wilson started sewing in childhhood -- for fun -- and made her first doll for a granddaughter. She teaches doll making to students in a local after school program and runs her own business Gail’s Corner out of her home in Mount Vernon, NY. About two years ago, she began using dried gourds as her creative canvas. "Curiosity and a deep passion for creating motivate my work," says Ms. Wilson.
